Evaluation of the Surrey Nurturing Schools Programme

KMC Research and Lighthouse Research & Consultancy have been commissioned to undertake a process and impact evaluation of the Surrey Nurturing Schools Programme over the next 18 months. As part of this evaluation we are using a mixed methods approach including baseline and follow-up surveys of schools, qualitative interviews with teachers

As part of this evaluation we are using a mixed methods approach including baseline and follow-up surveys of schools, qualitative interviews with teachers and case-studies to explore the impact of the programme on pupils, teachers and schools. 

Analysis of changes to the Elective home education guidance

KMC Research was commissioned by the DfE to undertake a quantitative and qualitative analysis of the responses received to the EHE home education guidance for local authorities and parents.

This included the use of AI and machine learning to process and analyse large amounts of open-ended survey data

KMC Research is supporting Cloud Chamber with the development of an impact and evaluation framework for a national young person's cancer charity, with particular involvement in consulting with young people to shape the design of the impact framework

KMC Research has undertaken two rounds of user testing for a national charity to support the roll-out of an educational app. This testing has included virtual focus groups with students and interviews with teachers to explore views on the app. The findings from the user testing have been used to inform the ongoing development of the app prior to the national roll out.

KMC Research recently undertook qualitative research with teaching and non-teaching staff to explore factors driving recruitment and retention. The research findings will help inform the development of a recruitment campaign for the multi-academy trust.

KMC Research ran an online applicant survey for Grwp Llandrillo Menai (GLLM) to better understand the factors driving applicants decisions to apply and take-up their place at the college group.  


The insight from the survey will be used to inform the college group's marketing and communication strategies.
