We can support in the design and implementation of research projects. We can help you to understand what questions you want answering and work with you to design a research approach that will best meet your needs. We can design approaches to meet varying budgets.
We regularly conduct process and impact evaluations to understand how initiatives or programmes have being delivered and the impact they have had. Often this includes using a mixed methods approach involving interviews, groups, surveys and data analysis to provide a detailed and holistic insight into the value of a programme for those involved.
Most of our projects are mixed-method and most of our team have work across both qualitative and quantitative methodologies. This give us the flexibility and capacity to offer many different approaches dependent on clients needs. Quantitatively, we have the capacity to undertake large-scale and small-scale surveys. We are highly experienced in the design, management and analysis of online, paper and panel surveys and we regularly survey teachers, education professionals, children and young people and parents and can work with you to design a survey for these groups that are engaging, innovative and generate the results that you need.
We are highly experienced in undertaking qualitative research and evaluation research with a range of stakeholder groups, including educational professionals at schools and colleges, children and young people and hard-to-reach groups (NEETs, families with multiple and complex needs). We offer a range of qualitative methods including online and face-to-face focus groups, online communities and depth interviews. We use robust qualitative analysis methods including content and thematic analysis.
We are big advocates for research and evaluation reports being evidence-based, whilst being easily digestible and usable for clients. We always tailor our outputs to the audience and client we’re working with. We regularly produce policy-facing reports, along with more visual and shorter reports (including Powerpoint decks and infographics)
Much of work is focused on children, young people and parents and all our researchers are experts at speaking to this group. We know which research approaches work best with children and young people, ranging from how best to design a survey for different ages, to designing a qualitative approach that will best engage young children all the way up to young adults!
